Join a celebration of home on the National Mall. Led byWords, Beats and Life DMV Made will bring together creatives from throughout the region to celebrate home. This outdoor festival centers on hip-hop theater, performance poetry, and live music including jazz, go-go, punk, and hip-hop. It will include public art, installations, and a celebration of food from the many cultures that comprise Washington, D.C. This festival is an opportunity to showcase the human and material treasures of the region on a national stage, while also giving patients, students, employees, and the growing biking and skateboarding community a chance to celebrate their home together. DMV Made is also an effort to coordinate across health systems to promote storytelling, art access, and the impact of arts on social isolation and cohesion. The festival events will take place on July 27th from 12-8 pm.

Not only is it the home of political power and national monuments and movements, but also the home of Go-Go Music, poetry traditions, and performing arts theaters. This city is rich in history, culture, and opportunities to celebrate.

    DMV Made will bring Washington, D.C., together to celebrate life and stage a communal response to social justice concerns such as health equity, economic disadvantage, and political division. There is no place like home in Washington, D.C.
